Our Mission: To preserve and perform Polka and related Old Time music.
The Al Landin Band is a reformulation of the, "Last Polka Band" that was popular in Iowa from about 1985 to 1993. We call Boone, Iowa our hometown; but band members range from Stratford to Des Moines. Polka and Old Time music is the forte with the new band. We enjoy playing for Polka and Old Time ballroom dances, ethnic celebrations such as Oktoberfest, and even special family celebrations. Our core personnel at present are Al Landin (Accordion), Trevor Carlson (Accordion), Mike Davidson (Guitar & Banjo), and Tex Dean (Drums). In addition, we have a number of musicians from across the state of Iowa that join us on occasion.

We are associated with, and share some musicians with Jesse and the Medicine Men; a Country/Pop band. For very special occasions that require a wide variety of music, we combine our bands to provide music from old time Country/Western Swing, to Polka, to some modern popular and even some original music.
